Company History
Kit for Kids’ initial vision was to manufacturer high quality soft play products and mats for schools and leisure operators. Since its modest beginnings the company has grown significantly becoming a leading specialist in both the Nursery and Education sectors.
Kit for Kids rapidly became an institution which designed and manufactured children’s products to the highest standards addressing the need for active play to improve and maintain children’s physical capabilities, and where a balanced development of both mind and body is essential for a happier, healthier child.

With distributors and retailers in 26 countries Kit for Kids has the capability to deliver products to the most demanding of specifications and to ensure relevant local and international safety requirements are met.
The friendly and welcoming company has gone from strength to strength and currently boasts a vibrant team of experts in design, product development, purchasing, sales and marketing as well as employing those with decades of experience in both the nursery and education sectors. Our Products
Within each of the three divisions of Kit for Kids we offer exciting and expanding ranges with each individual product showcasing our expertise in and care for babies and children.
For our Baby, Nursery and Education products each component has been carefully selected and tested for safety, purity and durability. Practical and everyday usability are key factors in our product design. Every product that reaches our customer has attained or exceeded the most demanding international standards.
Many of the education designs have been the direct result of consultation with focus groups including experts such as childcare professionals, teachers and, of course, parents. Our active play products have been the subject of the most stringent of all tests, the children themselves.
We are constantly designing new products and looking for new materials to keep up with evolving teaching and in-school requirements, and to ensure that we are using the most eco-friendly materials possible. Our products are cut, welded and printed using the latest technology allowing us to manufacture to the highest standards, which shows our commitment to increasing quality and safety in the industry.
Our Education collection will not be beaten on innovation and practicality. We understand changing and differing world standards and have developed products such as the Tech2 Alpha Height Adjustable table and chairs that can be extended, retracted and stacked depending on the height of the child and the standards of the individual country.
Kit for Kids’ cot mattress collection enjoys an exciting mix of natural materials and innovative designs all based around the safety and comfort of the baby. The Bamboo Coir cot mattress is a perfect example of Kit for Kids’ expertise and abilities.

We operate to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 Total Quality Management. We work closely with independent test houses both in the UK and abroad and we have a rigorous testing policy for all products.
Environmental Policy
Looking after our children’s future means that the environment is an important consideration of design and manufacture. To this end we are constantly pioneering the use of recyclable plastics or natural alternatives within our production processes whenever possible. We aim to reduce or eliminate the use of PVC based products and to use plasticiser free plastics where permitted to do so. Our own waste management, recycling systems, and energy usages are actively being reviewed and improved. Our objective is to operate in harmony with the global environment and we aim to practice environmental protection as an integral part of our business activities.
In a more proactive sense, as a company, we are actively seeking and researching the use of natural and eco-friendly materials.
Currently Kit for Kids is working with natural materials such as bamboo, coir, cotton and wool all of which come from sustainable and renewable sources and provide a naturally soft surface ideal for use with babies and children.
Design
Kit for Kids’ in house Design Department consists of expert product designers coordinated by experienced Product Development managers with a pedigree of successful pan European product design. The latest CAD software allows designs to be quickly and accurately manufactured in modern factories using the latest machinery.
Most of Kit for Kids’ products are designed in-house and most are supplied from within the Kit for Kids group of companies. This guarantees not only competitive pricing but also ensures the unique quality for which the Kit for Kids name is recognised.
Our designers are happy to work with clients to meet specific requirements in both creating unique products as well as designing full merchandising support packs including display units.
Customer Support
Kit for Kids produces products for school distributors and major toy and nursery retailers.
As expected, being a Global company, our customer support staff are able to speak most European languages such as English, French, Italian and Spanish, and moving further east Romanian and Hungarian, demonstrating our commitment to supporting our expanding International client base. Where required technical experts are on hand to offer additional support to customers.
For retailers, Kit for Kids understands that the correct merchandising, packaging and Point of Sale materials are essential. A full range of point of sale dispensers are available; alternatively our design department can design to your specific requirements.
