Kit for Kids has been named Best Growing Business for the second year running in the West Kent Business Excellence Awards. The whole team were once again thoroughly delighted with the recognition for the past year’s hard work.

Kit for Kids is a finalist in two categories in this year’s West Kent Business Excellence Awards.  Winning the category Best Growing Business in 2008 the company has experienced continued growth into 2009 and, despite the recession, has made the final again this year. A huge part of the growth Kit for Kids has enjoyed has been thanks to the company’s continued innovation with regards to product development, marketing and operations. Thanks to the innovative team Kit for Kids has also been named as a finalist in the Innovation category.

Kit for Kids Baby has launched its new consumer brand By Carla to sit alongside its specialist cot mattress range. The modern By Carla products encompass colourful changing mats, vibrant pre-natal support pillows as well as a cute co-ordinated range for the nursery. The new range was so well received during its initial launch at Kind und Jugend last month that orders were taken from Manchester to Milan.

Delores, Central Buyer of Tony Kealys commented “The By Carla range will sit perfectly on our shelves” and Keith Stark of Glasgow Pram Centre said “By Carla products looked great and the colours and packaging really stood out. We placed an order straight away”.

In addition to this a number of multiple retail buyers commented on the new By Carla range as being designed with both the consumer and retailer in mind, and described the packaging as complimenting the high quality of the product on the shelf.

Harrogate saw Kit for Kids Baby’s official UK launch of the Rock a Bye™, the worlds first interactive and vibrating cot mattress. The superb response to the must-have cot mattress, specifically designed for babies and children, resulted in numerous orders being taken at the show. The Rock a Bye™ is the latest innovation developed to soothe and settle babies off to sleep as well as to make parents’ often sleepless nights just that little bit easier.

The superior spring mattress uses an integral control unit that can be activated manually by the parent or by voice activation in response to the baby crying.

At the 60th International Toy Fair in Nurnberg Kit for Kids enjoyed a busy and plentiful show. Although numbers of visitors to the stand was down on last year the quality of the leads was even better because of the seriousness of those in attendance.

At the show Kit for Kids launched its brand new range of eco-friendly Bamboo furniture which has been designed to the highest specifications and finished to top standards.

Alongside the stylish furniture saw the launch and extension of three of Kit for Kids’ fun and popular co-ordinated ranges; Back to Nature, Under the Sea and Town and Country. The ranges of products include vibrant interactive wall displays, cute and cuddly oversized floor cushions, bright carpets and fun soft seating.

The brand new green catalogue for 2009/10 was hot off the press ready to be released at the show and received an extremely good reaction. The catalogue has been divided into buying categories and colour co-ordinated to make it even easier for you to find what you are looking for.
